Broom & Country was founded by A. Broomfield, who still lives on the same English farm where she grew up.
Surrounded by fields, horses, and the everyday rhythms of rural life, she noticed something that never quite sat right — countryside clothing wasn’t really being made with women in mind. Not for the work they do, the way they move, or the seasons of life they pass through.
Watching her sisters-in-law navigate farm life while pregnant made it even clearer: maternity countryside clothing didn’t exist. And in a world where countrywear is already niche, those smaller, important needs often get overlooked.
Broom & Country was created to fill those gaps with clothing designed to be truly useful, deeply comfortable, and gently traditional — pieces that fit real women doing real, practical, muddy, wonderful countryside things.
